East Stroudsburg Tower – N

$39.95

The East Stroudsburg Tower kit is based on the Delaware Lackawanna & Western Railroad interlocking tower and relay shed located in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1908 from a standard design that was used by the DL&W (Lackawanna) at nearly a dozen locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Sadly, the tower at East Stroudsburg is the only wooden Lackawanna interlocking tower still standing. It managed to survive the turbulent years of the Erie merger and the Conrail era and is now being restored to like new condition. Today the trains of the Delaware – Lackawanna Railroad still pass this tower on a daily basis. N Scale model measures approximately 1½”(W) x 3″(L) x 3″(H) including the adjacent concrete relay shed. HO kit available from the Erie-Lackawanna Historical Society at: http://www.erielackhs.org.
