Gold City Depot is based on the Virginia & Truckee Railroad (V&T) depot that was build in Mound House, Nevada in 1881. Mound House is located between Virginia City and Carson City and served as a junction point with the narrow gauge Carson & Colorado (C&C). The C&C was abandoned in 1905 and the last V&T train rolled through Mound House in 1938. This depot was later moved to Carson City where it reportedly still stands today.This highly detailed kit features laser-cut micro-plywood components, an interior support system and illustrated step-by-step instructions.
